“ Absolutely amazing! Live pianist that totally engages the crowd and keeps it lively. Food was fantastic, moderately priced. Drinks were good. Enough to get ya a good buzz and not too steeply priced. Decor matches the theme and though it is pretty tight it still seems pretty spacious. We had buffalo wings, hot is definitely not hot but they were good. Taco salad was fantastic and the grinder was like nothing I've ever had before and sooooo good! I would definitely eat here again if we were locals. ”

“ This place is sooooooo cool! It's like you're being transported back in time. I loved how even the servers were dressed like back in the saloon days. We came in for drinks and a quick snack. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc and I was impressed with how much they poured lol. They had a soup special which was pork and beans. Omg it was sooooooo good!! It's probably meant for one person because it came in a small bowl, but we had just eaten so we shared it. The saloon is connected to the Strater hotel which is just as cool to look at. Going to the bathroom takes you through the hotel lobby and I definitely stopped to take some photos and videos. The place does give a bit of a spooky feel and apparently this hotel has been featured on ghost shows lol, so I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to sleep here overnight. But I would love to come back here again! ”

“ Highlight of my trip. The bartenders were nice enough to grab me a beer even though they were relieved at 10 rather than 11 for Mother’s Day. I’ve always wanted to check this place out and they went above and beyond to teach me the history of the Strater. ”
“ This place took us back in time. We sang along to the songs, laughed and interacted with other guests. Joe, the musician, even took requests for songs from his list of music. It was just an amazing experience. And the food was delicious! We got the French Dip, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Chicken Tenders for our daughter. The scenery is beautiful as well. We walked around the hotel after dinner as well, they had more antiques around the hotel like the old phone booths, old phones, telegram machine, etc. I recommend this place 100% if you go to visit Durango. ”
“ The saloon was very busy and packed during the day, with music and spirits. The staff was very friendly and on their toes to guests' needs. Our bartender Chris was very helpful in giving some good places to eat and go. He had great conversation as well. Also, he is very fast and attentive. The saloon is clean and right off the main street. Accessible to shopping and other bar locations. ”
“ A historic landmark of Durango. If you are visiting the city, you have to come here. We grabbed drinks at the bar and were impressed at the history. It does get busy so we decided to come during the middle of the afternoon. In the evenings, they will often have performances. We didn’t try the food but it looked like they had a good selection. While you are in the saloon, don’t forget to take a walk through the lobby of the Strater Hotel. ”
